This project by Dougphresh Da Don has an incredible composition of production, lyrical content and is mixed and mastered well. These are all important aspects to create a standout project. The artist has bars, punchlines and the cadence to capture the audience. There are many artists who can rap but do not capture audiences due to overly complex rhyme schemes or highly poetic lyrics, this artist balances all of the above creating memorable bars that are quote worthy. The intro track I Do My Thang is heavy and is true to its name, “….facts over fiction, bars over names, true skills, talent over fame” Doughphresh Da Don is not one to be played with on the microphone. The memorable and quotable lyrics are peppered throughout the entire project. Some of the notable from this perspective is Neck of the Woods, I Do My Thang, Boss Lady with its variance from the expected gritty hip hop to a more R and B vibe that shows the artist’s range.
