No Love Lost
“Ain’t no love lost, cause there was never none there”
Being a musician has to be one of the most taxing environments to exist in. Not only do they channel some of the most difficult emotions known to man but they do so, that we may relate to the universal human experience and through that share a communion with those around them. When this process is over then they must present the shared experience in a manner that is relevant and relatable so that others may receive the message and exalt that message to a larger audience so that they may survive off of this shared experience through a transaction of art for money. So when an artist experiences the world from this perspective it is difficult to digest the lack of love and the fake love in tandem. No Love Lost is one of these songs, an experience that laments the difficulty of the music world and how fickle it can be.
King Franco describes this experience in No Love Lost. Demonstrating that the ups and downs have shown him who is a permanent and temporary fixture in the world that revolves around his art. He describes that his intent is to not focus on the lack of love or the lack of loyalty but rather to focus on his climb in this game. Undeterred by the experiences he has been through his message is clear that he remains on his grind and will continue to provide the music that he has been known to create.
